Will Biberstein was offered the position leading Conferences and Institutes as Director in December of 2017. He was excited for the opportunity to become part of the Division of Lifelong Learning (DLL) and Associate Provost Monique LaRocque’s leadership team. His background creating and managing events is just a piece of the valuable experience he brings to his department.
Prior to joining the Division of Lifelong Learning, Biberstein was part of the University of Maine Athletic Department for the past 16 years. The last position he held was Senior Associate Athletic Director for Operations. This position included oversight of all athletic events on and off campus and management of all the athletic facilities and game schedules for all the teams. His first position at the University of Maine was Head Strength and Conditioning coach where he worked with the coaches and student athletes helping to develop their performance levels.
Before arriving in Orono, Biberstein worked at Eastern Illinois University as the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach. Prior to working at Eastern Illinois University, he completed his Master of Science and Bachelor’s degrees at the University of Illinois.
