Man-Ching (Terence) Lee

Terence is the Manager of Faculty and Student Support at the Center for Innovation in Teaching and Learning and UMaineOnline.

Upon graduating with his Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, he worked for the Continuing and Distance Education program utilizing his education and experience to provide support services for online courses and programs to faculty, students and staff.

He continues to work with the Division of Lifelong Learning to provide support services to faculty in the applications used for teaching and learning. This includes learning management systems, video streaming services, audience response systems, productivity and collaboration applications used for teaching and learning.

He also is an operational lead for the UMaine HackerSpace and supports students enrolled in all UMaineOnline courses. He coordinates with students and staff members on issues relating to access, learning technology support, and strategic concerns that may arise.

His close working relationships with faculty, students and staff have provided a foundation on how crucial a prompt response is to the success of a course. Because of this, he strives to ensure student satisfaction and success are met for all UMaine courses.

His working motto, “Help someone like you want to be helped,” has earned him many satisfied faculty and staff members. His personal interests include swing dancing, cooking, and photography.
