Jessie Dunson-Todd is a full-time graduate student in the University of Maine’s Master of Social Work program and is happy to be completing her first field placement as part of the Early College support team at the Hutchinson Center. Jessie grew up in Belfast and went on to receive her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts. She settled there and worked as a home visitor in Head Start and then as a floor time specialist with children with autism. She missed the ocean and moved back to Belfast to work as a case manager for children with special needs at Broadreach. Jessie has two children: a 20-year-old who is attending UMaine’s School of Engineering and a 13-year-old who attends a local public school. She enjoys working with teenagers because they bring new, unique perspectives and fresh energy to the world and are full of potential. Jessie looks forward to meeting and supporting this spring’s Early College students.
