Are you interested in developing and using your skills to understand, appreciate and strengthen diversity?

As a UMDLI member you would:
•  Attend the National Conference on Race and Ethnicity    www.ncore.ou.edu
•  Participate in monthly half-day training sessions for a two-year period
•  At the end of two years become an active ALUM committed to influencing the campus’ diversity agenda and members of the UMDLI Planning Committee

Review for May 2008 Membership
begins February 1, 2008

To assist the review committee your letter should respond to the following questions: Why does UMDLI interest you? As a member, how would you contribute to the Institute? How do you see yourself carrying on the work of the Institute following your two-year training experience? Do you have support from your supervisor to participate fully in the Institute? Can your department support the Institute’s budget for the NCORE Conference registration fee of $500?  Departmental support is not essential but will strengthen your application. Do you have any special requests relative to the meeting that will be scheduled with the review committee to discuss your interest? (Time of day, for example.)
