The Lifelong Learning Advising Center at the University of Maine is the point of access to degree programs and lifelong learning opportunities for adult learners at the flagship campus of the University of Maine system and throughout the University College network.

Our Lifelong Learning Advising Center team can explain a variety of options for enhancing your educational credential in a way that works with your life as a busy adult.

Founded in 1865, UMaine, with its 90+ bachelor’s degree programs, 75 Master’s programs, and 30 doctoral programs, is recognized by U.S. New and World Report (2012) as one of the top 100 U.S. colleges and universities. It is the only university in Maine ranked in their top tier. You probably know that it has been singled out for its excellence in research in teaching by others, too, but did you know that The Education Trust ranked it first in the nation among public flagship universities for fostering access and success for low-income and minority students?

We’re living through a time of great changes in American higher education. As the bar for educational attainment keeps going up and as digital technologies help link Maine people and communities, it’s worth considering the advantages of earning a degree from an institution with over 100,000 alumni worldwide who are recognized for excellence in many fields. Adults wishing to complete a UMaine degree no longer have to be in residence for every program, but can find options that work for them in on-line, hybrid, or on-campus programs taught by our faculty.

Contact us to inquire about degrees and courses that are shaped to meet your schedule, attain your career and life goals, and work well with your location.
